Last Thursday, I had the privilege to be invited to a ‘Winter Warmers’ cooking class at casa Barilla here in Sydney. First off, don’t you just LOVE that they call it ‘casa’ Barilla? Felt like I was invited to a nonna’s home! Teehe!
It is such a stunning venue, with a spacious feel and a fantastic, fully equipped kitchen, perfect for a relaxed evening of cooking!
I made a point to arrive hungry, and boy am I glad I did!
The menu we were to cook was a gorgeous Lasagne with Porcini Mushrooms and Taleggio Cheese and a dish of stuffed pork Involtini wit soft Polenta. Because I don’t eat pork, they were happy to accommodate and arranged for a vegetarian version just for me! Aren’t they lovely?
The exceedingly talented chefs gave us a demo of everything we needed to do, were incredibly funny and generous with their knowledge. We then were split into small groups and headed to our benches to recreate the yummy dishes ourselves.

Yaay to my awesome group!
This is my group’s finished Lasagne before we attacked. SO. MUCH. CHEEEEEEESE!
Sorry not sorry.
The mood was so delightfully relaxed and everyone truly enjoyed the evening. We all left with happy full bellies, as well as generous goody bags and an apron to keep!
Thank you Barilla for such a lovely night!
